The Steelers outside linebacker will try his hand at presenting next year as part of a game show hosted by the three Watt brothers,

While it would be fair to say that T.J. Watt does not come close to having the national profile of his older brother J.J. Watt, that might all be about to change in 2020 with the launch of a new TV show called “Ultimate Tag” on Fox featuring the Watt brothers as the hosts.

Based on the playground game everyone will remember from their childhood and inspired by the popularity of the film “Tag”, a movie based on the true story of a group of friends who have been paying for game for over thirty years, the game show is essentially a competitive game of tag featuring obstacles and athletic runners chasing the contests down.

And judging by the publicity shot that accompanied the announcement J.J. Watt made on social media, it appears that game will have something of an American Gladiators feel to it.

J.J. Watt will also serve as an executive producer on the show produced by Znak and Co., the same firm that brought you the TV gold that was “Meghan Markle: American Princess”.

When speaking to the media about the new show, the older Watt brother explained that the game was very much like the one viewers will remember playing as kids, just a bit more extreme. As reported by Matt Young of the Houston Chronicle.

“That’s the idea! Everyone has played it, everyone knows that panicked feeling of being chased. Now imagine doing it with crazy obstacles, professionals running you down and all on national TV!”

Citing himself at the family tag champion growing up in response to his brother post on Instagram, while T.J. Watt clearly will be the technical expert on the show, J.J. may have one or two insights to share about chasing people around as well.
