NFL Network experts lay out who the Steelers could, and should, draft in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

The 2019 NFL Draft is just around the corner, and it is well known how the Pittsburgh Steelers have several holes to fill on their roster during the seven round process. Recently, on the NFL Network two experts, Bucky Brooks and Brian Baldinger, took a stab at selecting the Steelers’ first two draft picks — assuming they pick at No. 20 and No. 52.

For Baldinger, he had the team taking the following players:

Round 1: Georgia CB, Deandre Baker
Round 2: Iowa State WR, Hakeem Butler

For Brooks, he stayed all defense with his two picks:

Round 1: Washington CB, Byron Murphy
Round 2: NC State LB, Germaine Pratt

Check out the video below where they explain their predictions:

One this is for certain, with the Steelers abnormal activity in free agency has left them with options in the draft. If they don’t want to trade away too many picks to move up in the first round, they can sit back and take any number of player, at a number of positions, which could still benefit the team in 2019 and beyond.

No ILB? See what CBs are available.

No CBs available who are worthy of a first round selection? WRs could be plentiful when the Steelers select 20th in the first round.

Options aren’t a bad thing, and the Steelers should, operative word there in this situation, have plenty of them when the 2019 NFL Draft rolls around. At this point, it is important for the team to have a general idea as to what they are going to do if/when both of the Devins are gone before it is their turn to make a selection.

Again, they will have options.

What would you want the team to do if they stay put at No. 20, and both of the Devins are off the board? What position/prospects intrigue you in both Round 1 and 2?
