The Pittsburgh Steelers signed Devin Bush to his first contract, leaving just Justin Layne unsigned.
The Pittsburgh Steelers had been doing their diligence when it comes to signing their nine rookies from the 2019 NFL Draft. Unlike in previous years, the team seemed content on getting all of their new players under contract before the start of their Rookie Minicamp.
7 of their 9 picks were under contract before the new players donned the black-and-gold for the first time, but their highest profile draft pick, first round pick Devin Bush, has reportedly signed before the end of rookie camp.
This report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, and also reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter:
The #Steelers just signed LB Devin Bush to his rookie deal, source said, a 4-year contract with a 5th year option. It’s with a total of $18,871,768, fully guaranteed.

Bush’s rookie contract is a standard 4-year contract with a 5th year option, worth $18 million of fully guaranteed money.
With Bush under contract it leaves just third round pick Justin Layne as the only rookie who has yet to sign his contract with the organization. Odds are this news won’t be long as the team ends Rookie Minicamp and now turns their attention to their Organized Team Activities (OTAs) which will kick up with veterans on May 21st.
Here is a quick run down of which rookies are signed, and which have yet to sign on the dotted line:
